WALNUT — Maintaining a share of the Rolling Hills Conference softball lead, Walnut scored in all but one inning Tuesday night to defeat East Greeen, 9-4.
After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first, the Warriors plated two runs each of the first two innings and added one run in the third, two in the fourth and two in the sixth. Winning pitcher Ashli Walker hit an RBI single for Walnut, as did Sam Jensen, Alyssa Becerra and Katie Weihs. Lauren Sievers added a two-run double in the sixth.
